Language models are downloaded to your device and translation occurs locally. This mode works without an internet connection once the required language models have been downloaded.
4.2 Cloud Translation (AI Models)
When using AI-powered translation models or the real-time AI voice conversation feature, your text or audio is transmitted to OpenAI's servers for processing. Only the content you submit for translation is shared — no personal information, account data, or device identifiers are included in these requests. OpenAI processes this data in accordance with their own privacy policy and data usage terms.
5. Data Storage and Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
- Cloud translation data (text and voice) is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored on our servers or on OpenAI's servers beyond the duration needed to complete your request.
- Camera images used for OCR text extraction are processed in real-time and are not stored on our servers.
- Your translation history is stored locally on your device for your convenience and is not transmitted to our servers.
- Offline language models downloaded via Google ML Kit are stored locally on your device.
- API keys and configuration data are fetched securely via Firebase Remote Config and cached locally.

7. Camera and Microphone Access
The App requests access to the following device permissions:

- Microphone — Used for the real-time AI voice conversation feature. Audio is streamed in real-time to OpenAI's servers for translation and is not permanently stored.
- Speech Recognition — Used for voice input in text translation. Audio is processed for speech-to-text conversion.
- Notifications — Used optionally to notify you when offline language model downloads are complete.
These permissions are only used for their stated purposes. You can revoke any of these permissions at any time through your device settings.
8. Subscriptions and Payments
The App offers auto-renewable subscription plans: a Weekly plan ($9.99/week with a 3-day free trial for eligible users) and a Monthly plan ($29.99/month, no free trial). Subscriptions are processed and managed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not directly collect, process, or store your payment information, credit card details, or billing address. Subscription status and entitlement verification are handled through the respective platform's purchase APIs.
